Did we mention pizza movie nights? Topics for Future Discussion Include: What use is an education in political science if the only place to talk about the subject is in the classroom? Pi Sigma Alpha hopes to provide a forum for the students most engaged in the world of politics and current events to discuss these issues with like-minded students. We also eat pizza and watch movies sometimes! Why Join Pi Sigma Alpha? Pi Sigma Alpha allows for students to meet outside the classroom and have meaningful discussions about politics, international relations, and a whole host of other issues. Admission entails a one-time dues payment of $50.00.Pi Sigma Alpha (ΠΣΑ) Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, Eta Eta Chapter, is here to give all students at NMSU the opportunity to explore current events, national elections, international relations, and political philosophy in order to build a group of like-minded people who are passionate about engaging in and advocating for vibrant and energetic public discourse.

Students who satisfy this criteria are contacted by me (typically after the first month of the new semester) about admission into Pi Sigma Alpha.

Eligibility for special scholarships for graduate study in political science.

Eligible to wear PSA honor cords at graduation.Entitlement to application for special scholarships for Washington Semester programs.Automatic tuition reductions for Washington internship programs run by the Washington Internship Institute, the Fund for American Studies, and The Washington Center.Entry into federal government jobs at a higher grade (i.e., higher starting salary) than non-member candidates.My blog will be aimed at promoting these talks and keeping its content available and public in perpetuity. These talks range from substantive matters like academic ethics to particular items of interest to me like workflow and writing a literature review for a paper.
